FAQs about Markets.
6 FAQsA market is an open challenge built around one verifiable claim about a real-world outcome. Anyone can take the Yes or No side of it — there is no opponent to find and no limit on how many people take part.
Each side trades between 1 and 99 cents, and the price is the probability the participants collectively assign to the claim. A YES trading at 23 cents means the market currently expects that outcome about 23% of the time. When the claim settles, the winning side is worth 1 USDC per share and the losing side is worth nothing.
Open the app, choose a category, write a claim that can be verified objectively, and set when it should settle. Your market appears in the open feed and in its category page as soon as it is live.
One that has a single, checkable answer at a specific moment in time. "Will BTC close above $100,000 on December 31?" works. "Will BTC do well this year?" does not, because there is no way to settle it objectively.
You can cancel while nobody has taken a position yet. Once trading starts, the market stays open until it settles.
In the app: the home feed lists what is open, each category has its own page, and every community shows the markets that belong to it.
